take it easy Northerner, it's normal that people just get it to look around. anyway, I'm here. I've been studing musci since i was just a little kid. I work only with CUBASE.

Hi,
I've been a dj for about 7 years, I started playing drum & bass but now I try to mix up different styles of music - any beats I like, hip hop, breakbeat, house, whatever. I am doing a music tech course at the mo, learning Logic. Has anyone got any tips or suggestions to make interesting bass sounds - which type of filters / effects to try??? Posted by Jon

ohhh... at last some people who understand me...do you know we have a local ist here-probably a bot,f***- anyway i have tried some DJing with some software and liked it apart from a producer's view,it was nice... JON... if using fl studio you can use wave shaper, fast dist, flangus in the fx track of the generator you are using... try modifying TS 404 bass synthesizer's presets -there are many presets already-if not enough try sytrus generator...it has a built in x-y controller which gives total control of generators output... there is also boo bass generator....seems simple but with good mixing it can be powerful if you want interesting bass then try layering the channels....
